Arrive in Samarkand by flight TK-372 Istanbul 21h25 – Samarkand 03h35. Meet at airport. Transfer to hotel. Rest at hotel. Breakfast at hotel.

In the afternoon start city tour: Gur-Emir Mausoleum (graves of Tamerlane and his descendants, 15c); Afrosiab archaeological site & museum of the city foundation; Observatory of Ulugbek (Ulugbek, Timur the Great’s grandson, was the founder of the unique constructions of the observatory (1428-1429).

Lunch at local restaurant.

Excursion to the Meros Paper Mall, the small family manufacture situated in the picturesque garden, at the bank of Siab River. Since the 8th century the paper has been produced in Samarkand from the mulberry bark. Recently the local artisans have restored the ancient process of paper production. Samarkand Meros paper is known in the world for its quality.  Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Full day city tour of Samarkand: Registan Square (meaning “sandy place”) became an official centre of Samarkand since Tamerlane the Great’s time. The Square is surrounded by the Ulugbek’s madrassah (1417-1420), the Sher-Dor madrassah (1619-1636), and Tilla-Kori madrassah (1646-1660); visit to Mosque Bibi-Khanum (named in hohor of Timur’s eldest and favorite wife); Necropolis Shakhi-Zinda and ensemble of mausoleums of the 11th-19th centuries (According to the legend, the ensemble was erected around the grave of Kussam, a son of Abbas and cousin of Mohammed).

Visit to the local Uzbek house where you have an opportunity of getting acquainted with the local customs and traditions deeply rooted in the oriental hospitality. Furthermore, you have a chance to participate in cooking «Pilov» – the national Uzbek dish. Warm and friendly atmosphere and a delicious lunch served by the mistress of the house will be an excellent souvenir of the trip.

Arrival and accommodation.In the afternoon start to explore Bukhara: Liabi-Khauz Complex: Nodir-Divan-beghi madrassah (XVII c.), Kukeldash madrassah (XVI c.), Khonako (XVII c.); Magoki-Attari mosque (XII c., XVI c.); Chor Minor, a colorful madrassah with four peculiar looking towers – the Chor-Minor (1807) – was used as a library for students; trading domes; Ulugbek’s madrassah (XV c.) and Abdulaziz-khan madrassah (XVII c.)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Sitora-i-Mokhi-Khosa, a countryside summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (4 km away from Bukhara). FD SS tour of Bukhara: Samanids mausoleum, the burial place of the Samanids (9th–10th cc.) is a masterpiece of Central Asian architecture. The building boasts no colorful facades and paintings, but claims its fame as being the first Muslim mausoleum in Central Asia), Chashma-Ayub shrine (XIV-XVI cc.) known as a curative source, local bazaar, Bolo-Khauz mosque including mosque (XVIII c.), minaret (1914-17) and basin, Fortress Ark (citadel), a fortified residence of Emirs of Bukhara;; Poi-Kalyan Ensemble consisting of Miri-Arab madrassah (XVI c.), Kalyan minaret (XII c.) & Djuma mosque (XV c.). Folklore performance at Nodir Divan Begi madrassah (depending on weather conditions). Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight HY-052 Bukhara 11h15 – Tashkent 12h20. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Check-in after 14:00 noon.  Later City tour of Tashkent: Khast Imam Square – the holy heart of Tashkent and the least Russified or Sovietized part of the city – consisting of Barak Khan Madrassah (was founded in the 16th century by a descendant of Tamerlane who ruled Tashkent for the Shaybanid dynasty, Tillya Sheykh Mosque (built in the same time as Barak Khan Madrassah, now serves as the district’s Friday Mosque and Kafal Shashi mausoleum (The grave of a local doctor, philosopher and poet of Islam who lived from 904 to 979; visit to Kukeldash madrassah (functioning madrassah – XVI c.); Visiting Chorsu bazaar – the biggest, spice-smelling farmers’ bazaar in Tashkent; Visit to Museum of Applied Arts (built at the end of the 19th c. by the local craftsman, is located in the former residence of Russian Diplomat Polovtsev); Alisher Navoi Theatre Square, Earthquake Monument; Independence Square, Amir Temur Square. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kokand (225 km). SS tour of the city: imposing Urda Palace of Khudojor Khan and Djuma mosque dated from 19th c. Lunch at  café in Kokand. Further drive to Rishtan (50 km) and visit to the well-known family ceramic workshops. Continue drive to Fergana (50 km) Accommodation at hotel. In the evening walking to Al-Fergany’s Park. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Margilan (15 km) and visit to the traditional silk factory “Yodgorlik”. You will get acquainted with the whole process of silk production. Drive to Uzbek-Kyrgyz border point “Dustlik” (135 km). Border formalities. See off with Uzkek guide, meet your Kyrgyz Guide and transfer to Osh. Osh is Kyrgyzstan’s southern capital, and one of the oldest cities in the country. With a history estimated to stretch back 3000 years, Osh has long been a central city in the Fergana Valley.  In the afternoon, city tour with visiting of Suleiman-Too, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. According to the UNESCO, the mountain is “the most complete example of a sacred mountain anywhere in Central Asia, worshipped over several millennia». You will also visit historical museum, mosque, Babur Mausoleum, oriental Osh market (bazaar). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast. Transfer to Jalal Abab 100km. Visit Uzgen mausoleum. Visit the oriental market in Jalal-Abad. Transfer to Kazarman village (157km) (about 3-4 hours driving on the mountain road). Road goes over beautiful Kok–Art Pass (3200 m). Picnic for lunch. Upon arrival dinner and overnight in the family.

Transfer to Son-Kul. It is the highest lake in Kyrgyzstan, which located at the altitude of 3030 m above sea level. It is an unsalted lake with different kinds of fishes, surrounded by the Great Mountains. Road goes over the Kara-Keche pass 3384 m. Local people call this like as Nomad’s Paradise. During the summer more than 200 familes of local nomads stay on high mountain pasture with animals. It is very good chance to do combination for visiting wild nature, meet with local shepherds and know more about nomadic culture in one place. Rest. Dinner and accommodation in yurta camp.

Full day in Son-Kul. You will have time to enjoy with the amazing scenery of this place: edelweiss carpet, beautiful mountains and lake. You may go for horseback riding or hikings and taste a national Kyrgyz drink “kymyz”, made of mare’s milk. Overnight stay in the yurta camp.

Main highlights: Son-Kul is biggest in Kyrgyzstan mountain lake located on altitude 3030 m. Local people call this like as Nomad’s Paradise. During the summer more than 200 families of local nomads stay on high mountain pasture with animals. It is very good chance to do combination for visiting wild nature, meet with local shepherds and know more about nomadic culture in one place.

  1. Breakfast. Transfer to Kochkor village 150 km (3-4 hours of driving). Visit to handicraft workshop, where local women produce goods of felt. Traditional lunch in local family.
  2. Continue trip to Issyk kul lake 120 km (about 2-3 hours of driving). Optionally it is possible to visit one of the families who produce the wooden parts of yurta – nomad dwelling house. You can watch the process. Upon arrival relax and swimming on the shore. Accommodation and dinner in the Yurt camp or in the guesthouse “Alhayat”.

Breakfast. After moving to the “Fairy- Tale” Canyon – an amazing place where sandy red formations take a variety of fabulous shapes. Soft rocks of various shades are very flexible to the action of external forces. And shades of colors on the slopes of the canyon can change dramatically and with strong gusts of wind. Walk along this gorge. Continue drive to Bishkek. On the way visiting ruins of ancient town Balasagyn and Burana tower (IX-XI CC.) Dinner in the restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

After breakfast in the hotel a city tour. During the city tour you will visit Oak park where is the open air museum of Sculptures, historical museum, theatres, Osh bazaar. You will visit Russian Orthodox church, Philarmonic Hall, Ala-Too square, monuments to Manas the Great and famous Kyrgyz writer – Chyngyz Aitmatov, Histirical Museum.

In the afternoon we can have the visit to Ala Archa National Park.  A walk there. Later transfer to Bishkek. Folklore program during the dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
